Community Café at International House Odense introduces municipal Odense — where to find help, and how to access information about social activities and the practical aspects of everyday life in the city.

Our goal is to help you make the most of the many services available to you as a citizen of Odense.

At Community Café, we’re all about social connections and getting to know the community around us. There’s so much we can learn from our community, and with a central venue like Borgernes Hus, it couldn’t be easier to add fresh insights and friendly conversations to your day.

Maybe you’re curious about your local community too?

We invite both Danes and internationals in Odense to drop by Borgernes Hus to further your knowledge about the city and meet others who call Odense home.

Each Community Café has its own theme. 

Community Café October 2026: Meet Den Frie Rådgivning (The Free Councelling)

📍NB! We'll meet in meeting room 1.1. on the 1st floor in Borgernes Hus 

Den Frie Rådgivning is a volunteer-based social organization that offers free and confidential counseling to help people navigate everyday challenges.

Den Frie Rådgivning offers three types of support: Open Counseling, Personal Finance Cleanup, and Help with Digital Services, which is a collaboration between Den Frie Rådgivning, Vollsmose Library, and Citizen Service.

At this Community Café, you will have the opportunity to learn more about these three types of support and how to reach out if you need help.

You will also hear more about how the municipality and civil society work together to help as many people as possible.

Please note: This Community Café will provide a general introduction to Den Frie Rådgivning and its services. Individual counseling will not be available at this event.
