Community Café at International House Odense introduces municipal Odense — where to find help, and how to access information about social activities and the practical aspects of everyday life in the city.

Our goal is to help you make the most of the many services available to you as a citizen of Odense.

At Community Café, we’re all about social connections and getting to know the community around us. There’s so much we can learn from our community, and with a central venue like Borgernes Hus, it couldn’t be easier to add fresh insights and friendly conversations to your day.

Maybe you’re curious about your local community too? We invite both Danes and internationals in Odense to drop by Borgernes Hus to further your knowledge about the city and meet others who call Odense home.
 
Community Café is a monthly recurring event, and each session has its own theme.

Public or private school – which option is right for your child?

Are you unsure about schooling options in Odense? Choosing the right school is an important decision, and it can feel overwhelming when you’re new to the country and still learning about the system.

Join our Schooling in Odense event to get a clearer overview of your options. The event is designed to help parents better understand both public and private schooling in Denmark.

You will learn about the structure of the Danish school system, enrollment in public schools, after-school activities, language support, and other key topics related to schooling. The program also includes a presentation on the transition from secondary school to youth education from the Municipal Youth Service, KUI. Odense International School Odense will do a presentation on their unique private school offer in Odense.

As always, International House Odense will be ready to answer any questions you might have, and we're so happy to have help from school manager of Skt. Klemens School, Morten Aaris, school manager at Odense International School, Johanne Skaanes-Allo, and youth counselor, Asbjørn Juel Bækgaard.
